Youth and Families Cookout

For Youth Night this summer four big events have been planned.  The first was a cookout at the Branch where the kids could invited family members held on May 20, 2014.

Elder Wyatt helped cook up 150 burgers and 80 hot dogs, and everyone of them was eaten.  Even some dogs joined us, but they were gentle dogs laying there just waiting for someone to toss them a piece of meat.

It was fun to meet the parents or grandparents of some of our regular attender youth.

The weather was very good for a May outing.

Elder Allsop checks to see if the drinks are holding out as Jessica on the left and Haley on the right go for another one.

Before it was all over the kids learned that a water bottle with a hole punched it it makes a good water-fight weapon.

Elder Keith hangs out with some of the best gigglers in the group, the girls.

A new game was introduced by the older young women.  It is called SIGNS, and if you have ever played it you know you have to be quick and alert.

Our first event was hugely successful.
